Meet Lindsey Nelson: Wine, PNW summers, and finding new flavors

There's rarely a version of summer for me that doesn't end with a good pour. Whether I'm just off the trail, off the water, or off the volleyball court, there's usually a glass of something chilled waiting at the finish line.

I am from the PNW and love being outside. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, going to Mariners games, and skiing.

My favorite time to drink wine

No matter the time of year, you can always find a bottle of Browne Rosé in my fridge. But my sneaky favorite this summer is the Ste. Chapelle Open Air Muscat Blanc. It's floral yet acidic. Yum.

Getting Personal

What I'm loving right now

  1. Tom Lake by Ann Patchett.
  2. The Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from Handle the Heat.
  3. Project Hail Mary.
  4. The Obé Fitness app.
  5. A light-bodied red wine, chilled.

Why Wine?

I love opening a bottle with friends. Every bottle has a story behind it, and once it's poured, even more stories start flowing. I love discovering new flavors and finding what pairs best. No matter the bottle, it's always a new experience.

You'll love these wines. I promise.
