What is you first wine memory?
A hangover.

What is your favorite curse word?

What is your “Desert Island” wine?
Whatever wine I'm lucky enough to end up with on a Desert Island…. At that point I don't think I'll be too choosy.
What is your favorite wine region?
Coonawarra the heart of the Limestone Coast and home of The Hidden Sea.
When and where were (are) you happiest?
When the people I love, adore and respect are the happiest.
What is your favorite food & wine pairing?
Who needs food when you've got a bottle of The Hidden Sea wine!
What is your greatest extravagance?
Wow! Do I really have to answer this! Luxury sports cars is the short answer!
Your favorite book or movie about wine or food?
Stalin's Wine Cellar…. However I'm a sucker for any good cookbook. The ones with lots of photos, as it's easier on my dyslexia!
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
You can have everything you desire in life, as long as you help enough other people get what they desire first.
Which living person do you most admire?
Sorry I don't have one. My Dad for discipline, my mum for fun, my children for love and inspiration and my business partner Richie for courage and belief.
If you didn’t have a career in wine what other occupation might you choose?
Great wine requires a mad man to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, and a lucid poet to make it, and a lover to drink it…..so I guess I’d be a lover then!
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Frank Sinatra.
What is your motto?
Have the right attitude, give before you get, do the right fucking thing. .... and never ever give up!
