This Pinot Noir is a blend of select vineyards throughout Oregon, including our Battle Creek Vineyard in the Willamette Valley. Boysenberry, huckleberry and wild blueberry aromatics are accented by jasmine, lavender and sandalwood.

Blackberry, sandalwood, and violets dominate, with velvety tannins and a rich, rounded mid-palate. Cocoa powder, black currant, and star jasmine emerge on the palate, leading to a long finish with notes of baking spice and honeycomb. Pair this Pinot Noir with venison loin, seared duck breast, or wild mushroom risotto.

The aromatics of this wine are dark, brooding and evolve constantly in the glass from black huckleberry and wild blueberry to orange blossom and camphor: from concord grape to freshly rolled cigars. The entry is transparent to the nose, ethereal and constantly changing, delivering notes of Chinese five spice, boysenberry and fresh, resinous pine. The mid-palate and finish offer the depth and structure of sinewy tannins supported by the natural acid backbone that is characteristic of this vineyard.

This wine opens with aromatics of cherry cola, star anise, dried cherries, and baking spice. The entry is round and juicy, yet bright and delicate. The palate delivers flavors of red currants, pomegranate, and pie cherries which give way to a finish of jasmine, cedar, and structured tannins.

The nose opens with warm notes of roasted chestnuts and cherry cordial. On the palate, layers of pomegranate molasses and raspberry coulis unfold, accented by sandalwood, graham cracker, and a subtle hint of licorice root. This Pinot Noir pairs well with a variety of Portland favorites including the Higgins' house-smoked fish platter, Lardo's griddled Mortadella sandwich, and Ringside Steakhouse's onion rings.

Blue and red fruit come through on the nose with notes of blueberry and ripe raspberries, complemented by aromas of earth and minerality. Dark in color, the palate offers notes of blueberry pie and tobacco. Elegant tannins and well-balanced acidity round out this stunning Pinot Noir.
