The entry is transparent to the nose, ethereal and constantly changing, delivering notes of Chinese five spice, boysenberry and fresh, resinous pine. The mid-palate and finish offer the depth and structure of sinewy tannins supported by the natural acid backbone that is characteristic of this vineyard.
Blackberry, sandalwood, and violets dominate, with velvety tannins and a rich, rounded mid-palate. Cocoa powder, black currant, and star jasmine emerge on the palate, leading to a long finish with notes of baking spice and honeycomb.
